Tips and Landmines

Throughout my years of experience, I've been presented with a lot of tricks to get great results.  But like so many other "tricks", they tend to be very specific and narrowly focused about what they can actually do for a system. I've found that there are a few often overlooked things to do or avoid that can apply to a wide variety of systems and situations.  There is no one Tip or Landmine that will make or break a system, but at the end of the day they all add up to a nice improvement in the performance in your system that cannot be bought with better components. And some of the "tips" I've encountered, are downright dangerous.  I'll be adding to this small "library" of information of Tips to always try and accomplish, and Landmines to avoid.
